Peaches from south of here, Pennsylvania and So. Carolina, are tangy sweet and juicy. Ripening may take a few days at room temperature. New England peaches should be available again next year. (Deep freeze in February wiped out the buds this year).
The bees have been bringing in nectar since April. The Loosestrife in the muddy Bowers Brook marsh, and our Sunflowers & pumpkin flowers, are providing forage now. We’ve spend the last 2 days extracting, for the 2nd time this summer, and there is more to come!
Gingergold and Gravenstein apples, the best of the early apples are here.
There has been a much needed soaking rain this morning, August 2nd. The berries are freshly washed on the bushes. We are open for picking with a beautiful crop of blueberries. Raspberries are winding down.
We are open, 9am-4pm, Tues-Sat.
Spring honey from our hives is at the stand.
AND JUST FOR FUN..
The Macouns are truly extraordinary right now, Oct. 23, 2015. We are still open for PYO and there are many other varieties to try as well.
Jonagold, Empire and Macoun join the line up of ripe and ready apples. The much cooler temps have helped. Check the WHAT’S READY AND WHERE TO FIND IT page for updated list.
Peaches are gone and will return next year in mid July.
We will start our Fall schedule Saturday, September 3! Hours are 10am – 5pm Daily.
Pick Your Own apples will begin Labor day Weekend.
We’ll be checking for ripeness and will up date here and on Facebook.
Sad to say the blueberries are done for the year! We hope you had a chance to pick as much as you wanted. Southern peaches are at the stand along our honey. Gravensteins and Gingergold are packed up for you and ready for eating, or a really good pie!
We have opened the apple stand. You’ll find peaches, early apples & honey ready to go. Pick you own peaches is a shorter walk. Pick your own blueberries is winding down. It takes some time and determination but you can find a quart or more. PYO apples will start in Sept. Check back for an opening date!
